After a thorough technical briefing, we will give you a hands-on demonstration of how to moor your boat, cast off from the quay, how to turn your boat and how to navigate the narrow section before a lock. The next step, probably the most exciting, is going through the first lock. |

Locking Procedure
Passing through a lock will be a highlight of your cruise !!! One of our technical staff will give you explanatory details of the workings of the locks at your point of embarkation. You enter the lock at a reduced speed when the signal instructs you to and you moor your boat. The cycle is automatic. The technical manual on board gives full instructions. If you wish we can e-mail these details to you once you have made your reservation. |

During you cruise, you are free to moor your boat wherever you like, provided of course that mooring is permitted in the place that you have chosen and that you respect any applicable rules. Wherever you choose to stop we remind you to respect the environment. You will find all the equipment needed for mooring on board. If you decide to stop in a port there may be a nominal fee payable. These stopping places offer facilities and give you a chance to visit local villages. |

Bicycles - hiring bicycles to take on board with you is very popular and a great way to explore the area or to cycle into a village for your morning baguette. Reserve your bicycles at the same time you reserve your boat. |

Fishing - is allowed on the canals and rivers on condition that you have a fishing licence (a licence valid for 15 days costs approximately €30). A fishing licence together with various fishing accessories are available to purchase at our base in Lagarde.

Throughout the year our qualified technical team work to ensure your continued enjoyment of the excellent standard of our boats. The winter period is spent maintaining our boats to the high standards we have set , by cleaning the hulls, renewing the interiors and revising all technical equipment.
We give you the reassurance that you can contact the base any day of the week for advice and /or technical assistance.
