YOUR ARRIVAL AT THE BASE
Welcome and Formalities: Boats are ready for departure from14h00 on the day of your arrival. However, should you for any reason be arriving after 17h00, be sure to let us know in advance so that we can ensure that your arrival is as efficient as we would like it to be.

Embarkation:
between 14h00 and 17h00 (depending on the readiness of your boat) The port offers easy access with your car to your boat . Secure/locked parking or free open air parking for the duration of your cruise is near the port.
Our small and friendly team pride themselves in offering a personal service to each and every customer.

Four distinct steps to follow on the day you board your boat:

You will receive a warm welcome and be assisted by our friendly tri-lingual staff with various formalities (damage deposit, optional extras etc.), on an individual basis. You will be given an in-depth briefing on everything from which knots to use to how the oven works enabling you to quickly master your boat and grasp the essential rules of navigation. You will then be given a navigation licence that is valid for the duration of your stay together with a detailed list of the boat’s inventory. As a back-up to your briefing, you will find a technical manual on board detailing everything you need to know.
After you have put your personal effects on board, checked the inventory and put your hired bicycles on board, you may want to stock up on some last minute groceries from the shop opposite the port. In the meantime our technical staff will park your car, time permitting.
Whether it is your first time or not, you will be given a boat briefing and all technical aspects will be explained by one of our technical staff members. A cruising brief will be conducted before you depart from the base.

Once everything has been explained, you will receive a hands-on demonstration regarding the handling and maneuvering of your boat . Rest assured that the team at our base will ensure that you are confident about every aspect of your trip before you set off, including how to go through locks, how to tie up at the water’s edge and mooring in a marina.
